Small Bedroom Ideas

Coming up with small bedroom ideas is tricky. If you are planning on decorating your small bedroom, you might be thinking that these decorations ideas will make your room look smaller. Maybe it will. But with the right way of bedroom decoration, space wouldn’t be an issue.

  • If you want to put an additional shelf on the room but don’t have enough space to put it in, you can use a wall mounted shelf preferably next to your bed. This way, you can have enough space to put your books, photos, alarm clock and other displayed items without the need of additional space.Don’t have any space left for a closet? Then you can use the space under your bed instead. The storage can be made from cheap plastic or you can make your own storage using wood.   • Wall colours must be pastel or neutral to create an illusion of space. Make sure you only use a maximum of three hues of your chosen colour. Paint the moldings and doors using the same colour as the wall. Contrasting colours will make your room look smaller. Paint your ceiling white to make it appear higher.
  • Use light fabrics or roller blinds for your windows to maximize the view of the outdoors and to provide enough natural light in the room during daytime.
  • Use the right lighting (extremely important for small bedroom ideas) for your room to provide good illumination as it also helps create an illusion of space.
  • You can also add and position a mirror opposite to a natural source of light to provide additional lighting and illusion of space.
